Founded in 1951 by the National Society of Professional Engineers, Engineers Week is celebrated annually by thousands of engineers, engineering students, teachers, and leaders in government and business. In 1988, the National Engineers Week consortium expanded its scope and now includes more than 100 engineering, scientific, and educational societies and major corporations dedicated to enhancing the public understanding of the engineering profession and to promoting precollege interest in math, science, and engineering as a career option.

The WTS Northeast Florida Chapter is excited to offer 6 local and international scholarships this year! The WTS Scholarships are awarded to women pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies in transportation or a related field that demonstrate leadership skills, ability, and interest.
The general criteria for each of the scholarships include:
· Open to women
· GPA of 3.0 or higher
· Enrolled in a Northeast Florida* degree program in a transportation-related field
· Plan to pursue a career in transportation
Scholarship applications are due by December 18, 2021. Applicants may apply to more than one scholarship if they qualify. The specific award criteria are included in each application.
*Students must either have a permanent address or attend school within Northeast Florida, which is considered Baker County, Clay County, Columbia County, Duval County, Nassau County, and St. Johns County.
