Founded in 1951 by the National Society of Professional Engineers, Engineers Week is celebrated annually by thousands of engineers, engineering students, teachers, and leaders in government and business. In 1988, the National Engineers Week consortium expanded its scope and now includes more than 100 engineering, scientific, and educational societies and major corporations dedicated to enhancing the public understanding of the engineering profession and to promoting precollege interest in math, science, and engineering as a career option.
The Northeast Florida Engineers Week Committee awards six scholarships during the Kickoff Scholarship Luncheon on Friday, February 14, 2025. Scholarships include four high school scholarships and two college scholarships. Information about our scholarships are below.
We believe and recognize as a professional industry, that to achieve our Engineers Week objectives, we must include education as a key element. The application submittal deadline is Monday, January 13, 2025. They may be submitted electronically but must be received by midnight on Monday, January 13, 2025.
